TRAGEDY AS THE VOYAGE CONTINUES

Ship Steward Francis Treloar and 18 yr old Sarah Biggs left London March 21st 1848 bound for South Australia.
Diary based on Francis' diary he  named deaths and births

Cramped living quarters for the immigrants, and the danger of fire from these lamps being knocked over made the voyage hazardous for all. Sarah paid her fare so may have had a quick cabin ran up for her and sister Elizabeth. Photos as seen at the South Australian Maritime Museum Pt. Adelaide
